Simple Apple & Cinnamon Granola

Gone are the days of paying $12 for a tiny bag of granola. In comes this simple apple and cinnamon granola cereal recipe! Packing in tons of flavor and saving you tons of money, this granola is so good on yogurt, in milk, or on ice cream. We love making a big batch for the week, even if we just use it to snack on with some nuts! Ditch the store bought, welcome this healthy, homemade, delicious version!

Apple & Cinnamon Granola

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup Maple syrup
  • 5 cup Old fashioned oats (see note)
  • 1 cup Einkorn flour (see note)
  • 1 tsp Sea salt
  • 2 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Coconut sugar
  • 2 oz Freeze dried apples (I get mine from Aldi!)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • In bowl, 5 cup Old fashioned oats, 1 cup Einkorn flour, 1 tsp Sea salt, 2 tsp Ground cinnamon, 1 cup Coconut sugar, and 2 oz Freeze dried apples.
  • In separate bowl, mix melted 3/4 cup Butter, 1/2 cup Maple syrup, and 2 tsp Vanilla extract. Whisk well.
  • Add wet to the dry and mix well to ensure all granola is coated in wet mixture.
  • Add granola to sheet pan and bake for 25-30 min.
  • Stir every 10 minutes and remove from oven once granola is golden brown!
  • Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks! Or follow prep instructions if making for the month.

Notes

Old fashioned oats
  • use regular or gluten free if needed
Einkorn flour
  • can use regular all purpose, just use 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup.
Thaw
  • If you froze, allow to set out overnight at room temp then store in airtight container.
