Baked French Toast Sticks
Ingredients
- 1 loaf Bread (can be gluten free or regular)
- 2 Egg
- 1 cup Milk (Can use DF alternative if needed)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 12 oz Corn cereal (any of your favorite cereal would work here)
Instructions
- Grab your 12 oz Corn cereal and place in a ziploc bag. Crush it down until its a fine crumb. Add to a round pie pan or other baking dish
- In another round pie pan or baking dish add in 2 Egg, 1 cup Milk , 1 tsp Ground cinnamon, and1 tsp Vanilla extract. Whisk well. Set next to the crushed cereal.
- Grab your 1 loaf Bread and turn it so you are looking at it sideways. Slice it into 3 sections (so each slice is in 3 skinny sections).
- Dip your bread in the egg mixture then into the crushed cereal. Place into a ziploc bag if freezing or on a baking tray.
- Continue until all pieces are coated
- If freezing, when ready to bake just pop back onto a sheet pan and bake at 375 for 15 minutes. If baking right away, bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
- Enjoy! I love serving with a cup of yogurt and fresh fruit. My kids love to dip these but you can also just drizzle the syrup right over it
