Crock Pot Pinto Beans

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Dried pinto beans
  • 1 Onion (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 tsp Sea salt
  • 6 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder

Instructions

  • In pan, sauté onion and garlic for 5 minutes to give it some color. Then add soaked beans, onions, and garlic to crock pot.
  • Add 6 cups of broth or you can just use water too. Add in seasonings, stir, and set on high. Let cook all day until bubbly and beans are soft!
  • Serve over rice and add your favorite toppings. Or use as a meat replacement in tacos or enchiladas. So delicious and your house will smell amazing

Uses
  • These are perfect in a bowl or you can use in enchilada or taco recipes to sub for meat!
Storage
  • Once cooked you can portion out into bags and freeze for up to 3 months. To thaw, place in fridge overnight then reheat in a pan or use in recipe
