Deconstructed Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 Yellow onion (Chopped)
  • 1 lb Organic ground beef
  • 1 tsp Pink himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Cottage cheese (Good Culture whole milk small curd)
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cup Mozzarella (shredded from a block)
  • 24 oz Marinara sauce
  • 12 oz Pasta (mafalda, can use regular or GF)

Instructions

  • In a large cast iron skillet over medium heat add in the chopped onion, ground beef, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning to the pan.
  • While that is cooking in a bowl whisk together the cottage cheese and egg. Set aside
  • Pour in the marinara sauce.
  • Once it is heated through add in the pasta.
  • Once the pasta is al Dante add in the cottage cheese mixture.
  • Continue to simmer until the pasta is done. Turn off the heat.
  • Add in the cheese and stir until melted.
