Easy and simple homemade mayonnaise

Have you ever wanted to make your own mayonnaise? I’ve been at the store and stood in the aisle for 10 minutes reading the labels and left empty handed because I couldn’t find an option that had clean ingredients. Most are laced with dirty seed oils and preservatives that I do not want in my daily or weekly food sources. I have a dairy free homemade ranch dip that I love and that has clean ingredients and I feel so much better about serving it to my family.

So I figured if I can do a ranch dip, I can easily figure out a homemade mayo! This recipe is similar but slightly different than the ranch dip but comes together in minutes. Most people don’t understand that canola, vegetable, and other cheap seed oils cause inflammation in the gut and body when it becomes a common ingredient in our diet. Its impossible to avoid 100% of the time as its in everything but if we can slowly shift to keeping it out of our homes, we will greatly reduce the amount we are exposing our bodies to.

It uses 4-5 ingredients, and that’s it! All you need is a high speed blender or food processor. The key here is to slowly drizzle in the oil, very very slowly! This process will allow the oil to mix with the vinegar and fully emulsify. If you add to quickly, it will not emulsify and the two will stay separate. I really hope you enjoy this recipe as much as me and my family do!
