Easy Sticky Sesame Chicken Bites with Honey and Garlic
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb Chicken breasts (boneless, skinless, cubed)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Arrow root
- 1 tbsp Einkorn flour
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/4 cup Coconut aminos
- 1/4 cup Honey (raw)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine the 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 TBSP. arrow root, 1 TBSP. einkorn flour, 1 tsp. sesame seeds and 1 tsp. garlic powder. Whisk together with a small whisk and set aside.
- In a small bowl combine the 1/4 cup coconut aminos, 1/4 cup raw honey, 1 TBSP. Worcestershire and 1 TBSP. balsamic vinegar (if you don't have balsamic you can swap if for rice vinegar or plain white vinegar). Be sure to whisk really well so the honey combines with the other ingredients and set aside.
- Toss the 1 1/2 lb. cubed chicken into the flour bowl until they are completely coated.
- Heat up a large pan on the stove top over medium-high heat. You will want a large amount of oil so they can give it a shallow fry. Place the coated chicken pieces into the pan and let them cook (flipping) until golden brown. Remove the pieces of chicken once they are cooked- you might have some sticking to the bottom. Place the chicken pieces onto a plate lined with paper towel and set them aside.
- Give the sauce mixture one more whisk and pour it into the pan you removed the chicken from.
- Scrape the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon and let the sauce bubble.
- Continue to cook until the sauce becomes really sticky and then add the cooked chicken back in.
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce for a few more minutes and then place it on a platter.
- Enjoy!
