Greek Yogurt Chocolate Chip Scones
Servings: 8
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek whole milk yogurt
- 2 cup Einkorn flour (1 3/4 c all purpose)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 cup Coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp Heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cane sugar
- 1 cup Chocolate chips (we love enjoy life)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 and line a baking tray with parchment paper
- In a bowl add 1 cup Greek whole milk yogurt, 2 cup Einkorn flour, 1 tsp Salt, 1 tsp Baking powder, 1/2 cup Coconut sugar, and 1 cup Chocolate chips.
- Mix well until dough comes together, add a bit more flour if too sticky
- Place on parchment lined baking sheet and press into a circle about 1 inch thick
- Brush on 2 tbsp Heavy cream and sprinkle with 2 tbsp Cane sugar
- Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown and set in the middle
- Allow them to cool for 5 minutes, then slice into 8 equal pie shaped pieces
