These Simple 4 Ingredient Mousse Cups are a quick and easy dessert that you can whip up in minutes. Made with just four ingredients – cottage cheese, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and a touch of vanilla extract – these mousse cups are a delicious and healthy treat. Maple syrup adds a natural sweetness to this dessert that is healthier for you but incredibly delicious to eat . This easy dessert recipe is perfect for a last-minute treat, a healthy afternoon snack, or even a simple dessert for a dinner party. I love to portion these out into small containers for the week to send in my kids lunches! A high protein packed dessert.
High Protein/ 4 Ingredient Mousse Cups
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 16 oz Cottage cheese (see note below before making)
- 3 tbsp Dutch processed cocoa powder
- 5 tbsp Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
- In food processor, 16 oz Cottage cheese, 3 tbsp Dutch processed cocoa powder, 1 tsp Vanilla extract, and 5 tbsp Maple syrup.
- Turn on and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the processor half way through to ensure all lumps are incorporated.
- Spoon into 4 mini cups or 1 large dish if you prefer. Refrigerate for up to 5 days. Add any toppings you like ie; homemade whipped cream, chocolate chips, etc.
Notes
Cottage Cheese
- Each brand varies on consistency.
- I used Kalona Supernatural which has cream on the top and is very thick!
- If your brand isn't like this, strain a bit before making or your mousse will be watery!
