Fresh Lemon Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Fresh basil
  • 1 tsp Fresh garlic (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Pink himalayan salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 Lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan (freshly shredded is best)
  • 1/3 cup Extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

Blend

  • In a blender or food processor, add 3 cup Fresh basil, 1 tsp Fresh garlic, 1/2 tsp Pink himalayan salt, 1/4 tsp Black pepper, 1 Lemon (juice and zest), 3/4 cup Parmesan, and 1/3 cup Extra virgin olive oil.
  • Blend until smooth, see notes for storage options

Notes

Storage
  • Store in a mason jar or airtight container for up to 5 days before use
  • Freeze in ice cube trays and store little frozen blocks in ziploc bag for up to 2 months.
  • Add cubes to pastas or thaw and use in any other recipe as a marinade, sauce, etc.
