Ingredients
- 3 Russet potato
- 1/2 tsp Pink himalayan salt
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 cup Arrowroot
Instructions
- Peel 3 Russet potato Immediately shred and place into a bowl of ice water.
- Let soak in the ice water for a minimum of 15 minutes.
- Squeeze out the water.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat. Add the 2 tbsp Butter to the pan.
- Place the shredded potatoes,1/2 tsp Pink himalayan salt and 1 tsp Onion powder to the pan.
- Stir continuously until potatoes are tender, not crispy.
- Remove from the pan and place in a bowl.
- Add in the 1/2 cup Arrowroot and stir until well combined.
- Let cook to room temperature.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and shape 6 hashbrowns onto it.
- Flash freeze for at least an hour. This will help the hash browns hold together.
- Spray with oil (I like to use avocado oil). Cook in the air fryer at 375f for 12 minutes until crispy.
Notes
- Freezer- When you flash freeze, do it for 2 hours and transfer to a freezer safe bag.
