Prepped Rice Trick
Servings: 12
Ingredients
- 4 cup Rice (uncooked)
- 8 cup Chicken broth (can use water as well or a mix of both)
- 2 tsp Pink himalayan salt
Instructions
Prep Rice
- Add rice to a fine mesh strainer or colander and rinse well
- Add rinsed rice to a large stock pot
- Add salt and broth or liquid of choice
- Cook according to your rice package directions
- Once cooked, remove from pan and spread out onto a lined baking tray and allow to cool for 20 minutes
- Portion out what your family will need for each meal into ziploc or glass containers.
- Freeze until needed
Using Frozen Rice
- To use, add to the fridge the night before use to allow to thaw. Then reheat quickly in a pot with some water or in the microwave until cooked.
