Prepped Rice Trick

Ingredients

  • 4 cup Rice (uncooked)
  • 8 cup Chicken broth (can use water as well or a mix of both)
  • 2 tsp Pink himalayan salt

Instructions

Prep Rice

  • Add rice to a fine mesh strainer or colander and rinse well
  • Add rinsed rice to a large stock pot 
  • Add salt and broth or liquid of choice 
  • Cook according to your rice package directions 
  • Once cooked, remove from pan and spread out onto a lined baking tray and allow to cool for 20 minutes
  • Portion out what your family will need for each meal into ziploc or glass containers. 
  • Freeze until needed 

Using Frozen Rice

  • To use, add to the fridge the night before use to allow to thaw. Then reheat quickly in a pot with some water or in the microwave until cooked.
