Pumpkin Garlic Sauce
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 2 tsp Garlic (peeled and chopped)
- 1/2 cup Canned pumpkin
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Cream
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
- 1/8 tsp Ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan (freshly grated is best)
Instructions
- Heat a medium sauce pot over medium heat.
- Add a drizzle of oil and 2 tsp of peeled and chopped garlic
- Sauté for a few minutes. Then add in 1/2 c pumpkin puree
- Mix for a few minutes then add in 3/4 c milk, 1/4 c cream, whisk.
- Then add in 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, and a pinch (1/8 tsp) cayenne if desired. Whisk well
- Once mixture bubbles add in 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese and whisk again.
- Remove from heat, add to a jar and cool before adding lid.
- Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or you can freeze, just leave room in the jar to expand.
- Serve over your favorite pasta or chicken!
