Sausage and Gravy Biscuit Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 Batch biscuit dough (see component recipe)
  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage (can use pork or chicken)
  • 1/4 cup Einkorn flour (can use all purpose flour)
  • 1 tsp All purpose seasoning
  • 2 cup Milk

Instructions

  • Follow steps to make biscuit dough (see attached recipe). Get to step where you place dough in the freezer for 5-10 minutes
  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees
  • While freezing dough, brown sausage in a pan and cook through
  • Once cooked through, add 1/4 c einkorn flour and mix into sausage
  • Then add in 2 c of milk and stir, bring to a boil and make sure to mix every few minutes so it doesn't stick
  • Once bubbling add in 1 tsp of all purpose seasoning and continue to mix
  • Cook until thickened, then turn off heat and cool
  • Grab biscuit dough from the freezer and line a sheet pan with edges with parchment paper
  • Press biscuit dough to cover bottom of the pan
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until starting to brown
  • Remove from oven, add sausage gravy, and bake again for 5 minutes
  • Remove, cool on wire wrack.
  • Grab parchment and remove biscuit pizza from pan, slice with a pizza slicer
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Storage
  • Store extras in a ziploc bag and freeze for keep in the fridge. If you freeze, you can reheat in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes
