Stromboli
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 Healthier homemade pizza dough
- 2 tbsp Butter (melted)
- 2 clove Whole garlic cloves (Pressed)
- 1 package Uncured pepperoni (You can use any toppings of your choosing. )
- 8 oz Mozzarella (shredded from a block)
Instructions
- Prepare the pizza dough according to the recipe or use prepared dough you made ahead
- Preheat oven to 425f
- In small dish combine the garlic and butter.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle.
- Brush the inside of the dough with garlic and butter mixture.
- Layer evenly with pepperoni
- Layer evenly with cheese
- Beginning at one end, roll the dough tightly into a log. Seal the ends together.
- Place seam side down on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
Notes
Storage
- If you baked, allow to cool. Wrap in parchment and place in ziploc bag. Freeze for up to 2 months. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
Optional
- For an extra brown crust you can baste the outside with 1 TBSP. melted butter before cooking. We also love adding everything but the bagel salt to the top.
Thaw Dough
- To thaw prepared dough, add to fridge overnight and then use!
Make Ahead
- Assemble Stromboli but do not bake. Wrap in parchment then add to a ziploc bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Set out on counter for 1 hour before baking or set in fridge overnight
