Enchilada Sauce

Enchilada Sauce

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Organic tomato sauce
  • 6 oz Organic tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 1/4 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano
  • 1 Cinnamon (dash)
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon Einkorn flour
  • 1 Bay leaves

Instructions

  • In a sauce pan over medium combine 16 oz Organic tomato sauce, 6 oz Organic tomato paste, 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika, 1 tsp Garlic powder, 1  tsp Onion powder, 1/4 tsp Cumin, 1/4 tsp Chili powder, 1/2 tsp Oregano, 1 Cinnamon, 2 tbsp Cinnamon Einkorn flour, 1 Bay leaves and bring to a simmer.
  • Once simmering reduce heat to low and let cook 20-30 minutes.

Notes

  • The thickness of tomato sauce can vary greatly. If your enchilada sauce is too thick, add in 1/2 cup of chicken broth.
  • Freezer instructions- let cool to room temperature.  Place in a freezer safe container and store in the freezer for up to 2 months.
