Baked Chickpeas

These baked chickpeas are so easy to make and delicious. Add a crunchy snack you your routine.
The unexpected flavor and texture of these oven baked chick peas is a nice surprise. I will never forget the first time I tried baked chick peas at a fancy restaurant. In my head, I was thinking really? This is your appetizer? Well, there is a reason, it was surprisingly amazing! Crispy and salty you can’t stop eating them. Plus, the benefits of chick peas are abundant.
Baked Chickpeas
Servings: 8
Equipment
- 1 baking sheet
- parchment paper
Ingredients
- 30 oz chickpeas (2 cans)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp M salt (or your favorite salt and pepper blend)
- ¼ tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400℉.
- Pour the 30 oz chickpeas onto the parchment lined baking sheet.
- Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove, toss chickpeas with 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1 tsp M salt (or your favorite salt and pepper blend) and ¼ tsp smoked paprika.
- Pour back onto the baking sheet.
- Bake another 20 minutes until crisp and enjoy!
Notes
- Can be store at room temperature in an airtight container with the lid slightly open for up to 3 days.
