Banana Bread
Banana bread is a beloved sweet treat that has captured hearts with its moist texture and rich banana flavor. Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all purpose Jovial einkorn flour
- 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 4 overripe bananas (save 1 for the top only use 3 in the recipe)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup butter (melted)
- ¾ cup maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Spray a 9 x 5 pan with oil and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Mix 2 ½ cups all purpose Jovial einkorn flour, 1 tsp pink Himalayan salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, and ½ tsp cinnamon in a large bowl.
- In another bowl mash 3 of the 4 overripe bananas, and add 2 eggs, ½ cup butter¾ cup maple syrup, and ¾ cup maple syrup then mix well.
- Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and beat with a medium mixer for 2 minutes.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Cut the remaining banana on a plane so you have 2 long strips. Place on the top of the mixture.
- Bake for 50 minutes at 350 ℉for 1 hour depending on your oven. It is done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Notes
Freezer Instructions
- Once the banana bread is cooled to room temperature wrap in parchment paper and then foil or saran wrap. Freeze up to 2 months. You can also freeze by the slice.
