Perfect for those days you are craving chicken wings, but want to spice it up a little bit. These wings are the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. Baked, not fried they give you a healthier spin on a classic.

These Thai wings are the perfect amount of spicy and sweet. The kind of flavor where you can't stop eating at just one. Baked, not fried so you can eat them guilt free.
Equipment
- 1 baking sheet
- parchment paper
Ingredients
- 1 lb. organic chicken wings
- 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- Sauce
- 1/2 tsp. arrow root
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. chili sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400f
- In a ziploc bag or bowl add in baking soda, salt, sugar, onion powder and smoked paprika.
- Drop the wings in and shake to evenly coat.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay a single layer of chicken wings on the baking sheet and bake for about 40 minutes, until the wings reach an internal temperature or at least 165f.
- While the wings are baking, move on the making the sauce.
- In a small saucepan combine 1/2 tsp. arrow root, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1/4 cup coconut aminos, 1 tbsp. honey and 1 tbsp. chili sauce.
- Whisk together and bring to a low boil.
- Once thickened, remove. (It only takes 1 or 2 minutes)
- Remove the wings from the oven and blace in a bowl.
- Pour the sauce over and toss to coat.
