Pasta with Creamy Tomato Sauce and Bacon
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 5 piece Uncured bacon (chopped small)
- 1/2 Onion (finely chopped)
- 3 clove Garlic (chopped small)
- 2 cup Broccoli florets (finely chopped)
- 2 cup Cream tomato sauce (See component recipe)
- 1/2 cup Cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup Parmesan (shredded from a block)
- 3 cup Organic chicken broth
Instructions
- Place a 12 inch cast iron skillet over medium heat. Sautee the 5 strips of bacon chopped, 1 onion diced, 2 cups of chopped broccoli florets and 3 chopped garlic cloves. Continue sauteeing until the onions caramaelize and the broccoli starts to soften.
- Add in the 2 cups of cream tomato sauce, 3 cups chicken broth and 2 cups rotini pasta or and other favorite. Let boil until the pasta is done, stirring frequently. about 15 minutes.
- Once the pasta is done and the liquid is mostly absorbed add in the 1/2 cottage cheese and sprinkle the 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese on top.
